Congrats on you order. I love my 19‘ CS but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t jealous about the 22’s getting the PP. What color did you order?
They should have offered PP with the C/S all along. I would have probably bought one a few years back. Ford does some really strange things with their packages and options, limiting what you can get with what. You'd think if you wanted to spend extra $ to get another option, they'd let you.
Maybe that will change if they end up going to the special order only scheme they were talking about a while back.

I went with the Atlas Blue and the 10 Speed Automatic. I had thought about the manual transmission but decided against it from the standpoint of this convertible will be more of a vehicle to cruise around in. My current sports car, which I have owned since 2005, has a 5 speed Tremec tko 600 manual transmission. Over the years I have spent many of days doing burn outs and all out spirited drives in it. Its a Kirkham Motorsports Cobra with a 427 aluminum Shelby block cubed out to 482 cu in pushing 589 HP at 614 FT LB torque. I'm looking for a change of pace which is why I opted. for the automatic.

Just got an email today from Ford informing me the 2022 Mustang GT/CS Convertible I ordered 12/7/21 is built. So excited and can't wait for delivery!!!!! Wow, what a way to start out the weekend. Still can't track it in their system but who cares about that anymore. I'll post some pictures when I take delivery sometime between 2/21 - 2/27/22 per the email giving car delivery estimate to the dealership.

Hopefully since I placed my order in December the price increases don't apply. Either way, I'm not going to walk away from my order if they ask for more money. Just might have to buy a fewer number of six packs of beers than I normally would. :)

My car arrived yesterday to Victor Ford dealership and I picked it up today. What a beautiful car. WOW!!!!
Got it home just in time before it snows this afternoon. Might just camp out in the garage all day and night. Would it be wrong if I slept out there tonight too??? Can’t wait for some warm weather…..

Beautiful car, congrats. As for camping out in the garage, I've had mine for going on two years and still keep it company in the garage.

Fantastic choice!

Only natural to want to camp out in the garage................I still sometimes just go to the garage to stare at my Garage Queen. Never fails to make me feel good! :)

Really bums me out that they don't have Atlas Blue available on '22 Mach 1's. My first thought on getting back into Mustangs was this exact version. I'm thinking you kick another car out of the garage and move a La-z-Boy in for a week or two.

Found this '22 Carbonized Gray MT82 base GT with no options sitting on the lot while visiting family just before New Year's. Dealer had it marked down $3500 below sticker and budged another $1000 with a bit of haggling. She had just come off the transport truck and landed in my arms!

Now have out about 1400 miles on her and have been very pleased. Did a break-in oil change at 900 miles and installed a passenger side UPR catch can. Swapped out the factory, tiny spoiler for the gloss black one seen here. Swapped in a Steeda 35 lb clutch assist spring and cue ball shift knob. Added 1" hub-centric, billet spacers for improved stance. Swapped in LED interior lighting. Deleted the noise pipe to clean up the engine bay. Deleted the hydrocarbon trap with its claptrap hardware along with the flow straightening grid to bring the intake back to '18-'21 spec. Basically, all the easy and cheap mods that I found worthwhile.

Now considering 4.09 gears in lieu of my 3.55s and an E70 tune. Eventually a centrifugal blower down the road. The gearing in these newer MT82s is crazy tall!

Been a lurker here since buying the car. Thanks for having me officially as a member!

I would stay with the 3.55's with the blower to be honest, or don't go above 3.73's. I have the 4.09 gearing on my car, and traction can be an issue now even with 305 Mich PSS out back. Congrats on a great find.

Thanks, Dave.

I was thinking about gears first for a centrifugal blower, specifically. For a roots or twin screw I'd definitely stay with 3.55s.

What kind of setup are you running?

PS - Love the Tropical Lightning patch.

My car started out as a base 300a car with the Performance Package. I am staying NA and living in Cali I wanted to keep it CARB compliant. So my car has the mods in the sig, but its not the same car as when I bought it.

Got out almost 30 yrs ago, still feels like I'm part of...B.Co.1/14th Infantry Light
