2018 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

I ordered mine August 7, 2017.
The order was processed December 14.
Production began January 3, 2018.
Production was completed January 9.
Shipped February 6.
Delivered February 7.

Seven months exactly between Order and Delivery, including Christmas and New Years shutdown.

My dealer said nothing about being able to track orders. :shrug:

I had hoped the car wouldn't arrive before Winter was done here on the East Coast... or until I was able to save enuff scratch in the bank. ;)

COTUS seems like it could be a nerve-wracking system.

That sucks. Sounds like your dealer had no allocation, and failed to mention that fact. Once the order was processed, the timing seems about right.

I received my VIN today as well so I'll probably get a build week in April too. I think one reason orders have been pushed back is due to the plant being shut down for a few weeks. That's a few weeks of orders Ford has to catch up on.

Yea. Regular chat didn't see my build week. Ford performance did.

No dice for my situation. He did actually give me a course of action, unlike the other chat group. Told me to tell my dealer to reach out to the region manager to ask about why my car's been sitting for a month. Just texted my salesman to do just that. My salesman mentioned in his reply something about 'they had changed transportation companies so that might be the issue,' not sure how accurate that is, but he is sending my concern up his chain of command. Allegedly.

I feel your pain......I waited 21 weeks Yes that would be 5 Months.
The car was ordered August 21st 2017 and was delivered January 17th, 2018.

Yes ! I love the car it is a Bad Ass ride. Will I wait this long again? Not Going To Happen On My Watch.

I signed papers officially in Nov but asked my dealer to wait until end of December to ensure I would get the car after winter. Order was placed on December 27th and I still do not have a VIN yet, order also not showing in Cotus either.

Ordered mine on 12/17 just got VIN today. You should be hopefully getting yours soon. Either way it's still much earlier than MY2019 build date.

Yeah, my bad, 2019 production starts in June! Here's to hoping for an end of March build date or very early in April at the latest

Yeah I aimed for an April delivery when I initially ordered. It may be a little later, but I would hate to cancel my order now and wait until at least July for a 2019.

Congrats on the early build date! Mine is currently unknown.

Put in my order on 2/1, got a VIN last Friday. Projected to be built the week of 3/5. EDD 3/30. Seems I got pretty lucky with timing. My dealer didn’t have an allocation when I gave them my order, but they made it happen quicker than I expected.
