Order number is something the dealer chooses at the time of ordering.

Spoke with my dealer yesterday and he told me that allocation matters only for special cars like gt350, not for mustang gt. Still no answer for why I don't have a vin after six weeks. He has been telling me that he is trying to get in touch with ford rep for three weeks. I am sure he is bs-ing me.

I hope so too...i think the time to VIN depends so strongly on dealer allocation. Keeping my fingers crossed...one part of me says that if it hasnt happened in Jan so far, it must mean no allocation in Jan and early to mid Fed is my best hope. Ford help told me that 8-12week period starts not...

I am in the same boat. nothing since 12/20. Instead of chasing the dealer which is very frustrating, I have decided to just chill for a couple of weeks, mid Feb. Either dealer tells me every thing or I just buy something in mid feb from another dealers lot.

My dealer just sent me a print out saying current status is unscheduled clean. But still doesn't give me a DORA. I am not sure what it means...Is my order submitted or not? Is the delay from ford or due to my dealer? This is so frustrating.

Is it fair to say the dealer must definitely have the dora or voc if order was submitted? My dealer refuses to give me any doc. Did your dealer give you dora or voc when the order was not submitted?
