Comp Orange is a much better color, IMO.

I'm looking forward to seeing Orange Fury on the S550. Sure, it doesn't look great on that Explorer......but those are old photos and any colour would struggle to look good on that year of Explorer :p

I do like Competition Orange (especially as it's a classic Mustang colour) but it is a very "red" orange. Orange Fury is definitely an orange orange :headbonk:

My thoughts exactly.

I'm optimistic about this one.

Why is the old explorer the only example of Orange fury available. Are we really sure that's it, if so, did ford produce a 1 of 1 in that color, it must be worth a fortune!!

No idea.

Never claimed to be a style maven, but either Ford's paint people can see trends coming to which I'm completely blind or someone just struck one hell of a deal to unload some leftover pigment.

Hate for Grabber Blue to be gone too. Never would've ordered it myself, but a Mustang always should be orderable in that color.

Bit of a confusing article there. I know very little about the current truck engines (obviously, we don't get those in Europe). That article doesn't state if the new engine will be a V8 or V10.......although it does state the existing 6.8 is a V10.

It is interesting that they call it a "global 7.0 litre engine program". Global??

Anyway, if it's a V10 I'm guess that isn't going to fit into S550 nor, I expect, S650 (plus I'm not a massive fan of the sound of V10 engines). And for it to be a Boss, only a V8 would do. Although a hi-tech Boss 429 V8 would do very nicely :D

It's a V8...for Super-Duty trucks in 2020 but may find its way into the top-dog Stang in 2019...the 50th anniversary of the Boss 429.

Thanks TN :)

Well, if they do try and shoehorn it into the S550, I hope it's not a heavy engine. Whilst the '69/'70 Boss 429 are the stuff of legend, in terms of handling, the lighter, more nimble Boss 302 was the better driver's car. Well, at least in the hands of Parnelli Jones :first:

Is the old Car Craft facility still around? Will they be smashing shock towers with a hammer to make the 7 litre fit? :D

According to the article “It’s more fuel efficient, smaller, lighter, with more torque, more horsepower. It’s a big deal.”

And I'm sure Ford would only put it in a Mustang if it was going to be awesome :)

Hellcat has had too much fun already...plus there is a Z28 lurking.
