Half the fun of having a mustang is buying a what I thought was a performance car bargain and customising and improving it your own way to suit your use and budget. Who the heck wants it all done for them at such a huge price :)

I'm not a millionaire and if I was there's other interesting stuff around for that kind of money and that's probably better made. I'm not at all tempted

I'd rather spend the price difference between mine and the 18 on upgrading mine to the point it destroys the 18 anyway. Definitely AM next though now. only thing that could change that now would be the 350R coming across in RHD

Its pretty impossible to make the current car go 0-60 in sub 4s even with current auto. The 10-speed auto really makes MY18 a very hard car to compete with, it will in essence always have like a FREE 100HP on you just because of its gearbox and even more so it will be consistent.

Hey I can even see EB's with 10-speeds rinsing current GT's off the line. :frusty:

pointless argument for me since I'd never buy an auto anyway when there's an option for a manual and 0-60's / drags aren't what I enjoy in a car anyway. Despite me driving pretty much like i've stole it 99% of the time its never about top speed or acceleration its about the event usually sideways. :D

Thanks mate. Had it from new and now a much loved member of the family that just does the weekend cafe cruise. My wife insisted we keep it so we've just added a garage for when the Mustang arrives. :)

Now, back on topic, we're thinking the same as you guys regarding the price increases and the strange equipment combinations on the US build website. Ford Australia did do a pretty good job on the PP combination we got here, so hopefully they do so again. Au$65,500 was the going price on the 15-17 up until a few weeks ago when we saw up to $5k discounts in some states. I'm thinking the new 18 GT package will be Au$68,500.

Tis always the way when the Mk2 comes out

2005 s197 was a sub $30k car fully loaded

2010 s197 4.6 was a $40K car with a few options

2011 s197 coyote was a $50k dollar car with a few options

say hello to the 50k Mustang... think I'll keep mine and by a GT350 :)
