2018 GT350 in Orange Fury

Have you seen the old competition orange on a GT350 in person yet? I thought I'd like it until I saw it in person. It's definitely a different color. Since I ordered a 2018 I considered this color, but I love LB too much to even think about orange. Didn't help that you can't get stripes on the R with Orange either.

i dont like CO at all and this isnt a consideration for me either..i have leadfoot on order and am liking it but orange fury looks a lot better than i expected

Pictures will never do this color justice. I saw a 350 up close this past weekend at pre meet up before mustang memories. It has metal flake in it and is a tri coat paint job. When the sun hits it the color just dances at you. Pretty cool.

saw a lightning blue in person and was amazed, sure this is similar

Just looked the two up, and I defintely like Orange Fury better. I have to really see one in person to be sure. But no way I'd change my order, I like "safer" colors.

Here are pics of the two, top is Competition, bottom is Fury. Orange Fury is much lighter, and given the metallic flake it's nice for orange!

IMO, they should have at least designed in the 2018 style taillights on the '18 GT350.. :shrug:

I definitely like the OF better than CO. CO doesn't appeal to me at all.

Obviously it all comes down to personal taste but OF looks live Velvetta Cheese to me.

Maybe OF looks better in person but without seeing one up close to this point I would go with CO any day of the week.

I didn't think that I would like TY until I saw one in person and then changed my mind very quickly so maybe the same thing would happen with OF!

I haven't eaten Velveeta for many years, but I don't remember the metallic/pearl and all that flop from the last time I looked at Velveeta. :cheers:

The photos look like OF has a ton of character and looks very different in different lighting. Very cool IMO.

Yes, even though I am not crazy about the color I suggest that OF will be a hit with most other people.

It's interesting to note how much color fads and choices can come and go over just a few years.

When Competition Orange came out as one of the color options for the 2012 Boss it was by far the most popular color of the Boss 302 colors available that year and represented 35% of all car colors in 2012.

Come the 2016MY for the GT350 and Competition Orange represented only 4% of all GT350's built for the 2016MY.

Of course there were only 5 color choices in 2012 with 8 color choices in 2016.

Even so of the 8 color choices CO was second last in choice for 2016 with CO being by far the most popular choice in 2012.

Yes, I suggest that OF will probably be a big hit this MY!

Very interesting history about CO. Thanks for posting actual sales information! I wonder about the recent gray colors and how much they will sell in the future.
