Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has seen any of these issues on a 2018 GT.

Whenever I have any bass going through the speakers some sort of metal rattles inside the door. I only have 1,800 miles on the car.

The second thing i noticed is when shifting the 6 speed manual into gear above id say 3.5k rpm. It seems to make a grinding noise the moment the clutch engages and than it is fine. Happens specifically going into 2nd and 3rd gear.

I would like to hear from anyone who has been experiencing this.

Thank you.

IMO the issues are not connected.

It is entirely possible that you have a stray screw inside the door. Easiest way to tell is to thump on the lower part -- try it on the inside first, but if you don't hear anything it's okay to do it on the skin (outside) BUT...don't create a dent. Use common sense.

The tranny noise I will leave to someone else.

It may be possible. It took 1k miles for this noise to appear. I did hit the door before in different places, i did not hear anything rating around. But the rattling got worse. So annoying. It only rattles during specific type of bass. Not all. Also no noise over pumps or anything of the sort. I will probably just take it to the dealer and have them fix it. It is too cold where i am do take the door panel off in my driveway.

Let us know what the dealer says when you take it there to be fixed.

My dealer broke a bunch of clips removing the door panels. Ask them to be "VERY CAREFUL".

Yeah that is what sucks about giving it to them. I would rather do it myself but as i mentioned earlier its simply too cold where i am to do that.

I can tell them to be careful but the mechanic doing it will still probably break something. :headbonk:
