Job 1 date for 17 builds has been posted. Early June (2nd) if I'm recalling correctly. 17s should be available Julyish depending on QC holds with the 17 changeover.

DAMN IT! How come they got rid of Deep Impact Blue! I'm quite dissapointed to say the least as that was the color I was going to get on my 2017. Why would they replace a nice metalic blue with a standard plain jane blue? :(

Metallic paints generally cost more money. That's why a lot of car companies charge extra for metallic paints. And it costs for more repairs as its harder to match.

Bottom line- cost.

I'm am quite pleased with the 2017 color options. I would like to see sales data by car color. The Gabber Blue is great in person I would like to see a more bright red with less orange in the future as well

Just released today are color charts for the 2017 Mustang.

A few new colors including Grabber Blue...

NEW 2017 EXTERIOR COLORS:

• Grabber Blue
• Lightning Blue
• White Platinum Metallic

DISCONTINUED 2017 EXTERIOR COLORS:

• Deep Impact Blue
• Competition Orange
• Guard

OTHER NOTES:

• California Special package continues in 2017.

does anyone know why DIB has been deleted?

replaced with lightning blue. Looks a touch lighter and not metallic paint.

I don't think the new blue would look that great without being metallic.

god fucking dammit. seriously? they put it out there that Grabber Blue is coming back literally a week after I take delivery of my 2016 GT?

I absolutely, 100% would have waited for a 2017 to get that color again. My 2013 was Grabber Blue.
