I know, I know.......

May have been asked several times. I have a paid for 2016 GT premium with PP and several modifications to improve the car. Looking to get a 2018 GT350 and sell the 16 GT privately to apply that against the GT350 cost.

I love my 16 GT and have never driven a GT350. Ready to pull the trigger on a supercharger for the GT and be over 700 HP.

But, it will never be a GT350.

So, just how damn good is a GT350 and would the additional $20K or so be worth it?

I am currently deployed to Afghanistan and would not take delivery of the GT350, if I go that way, till around AUG 18.

You want a muscle car? Stick with the GT and possibly supercharge.

You want a sports car in Mustang guise? Get the GT350.

I honestly couldn't care less for a Mustang. Sure it looks great, good motor, but nothing that really excited me. The GT350 however, is one of the rare occasions where reality exceeds expectations. Simply put, it was worth the additional money, but for me, a regular GT Mustang was never in the cards.

i had a 15gt pp with a lot of mods gt350 im, long tubes, dyno tune, etc. just parking next to a gt350 it was worth it to me and then 10-15 miles of riding and a couple driving in a friend of mine's gt350 i have zero regret selling the gt and ordering the gt350. but i think shift nailed it, it all depends on what you are looking to get out of your ride. either way you will have a great, fun car

I came out of a 700+ WHP 11 GT500. Still had low miles for a 11 (34k) was a 10 sec 1/4 runner and I enjoyed just driving it around. That said, the GT350 is head and shoulders above it. Sure its not as fast in a straight line, but it still gets the job done in that department. But driving ? Just pure driving ?? Oh man Oh man Oh man...what a drive it is ! Also I have finally learned not to early shift....revving pass 6k is insane !!!

So tes. The GT350 is worth all of it. Remember, you can always buy power....but to make a GT into what a GT350 is....not so simple.

The brakes on the GT350 are amazing as well.

So, just how damn good is a GT35? DAMN GOOD! So good I bought two. First a Track Pack and then an R. There are a lot of reviews out there to help you decide with a much less biased view. From cherry enthusiasts to Pro racers, the car is emphatically good. I think one of the reasons why is the LOP expected of a 6 figure car on a blue color budget. Here is one of my favs,

The GT350 is a special car with a lot of soul.. like others here, I grin from ear to ear every time I drive it. I've owned great cars in the past, but there is something about this car that makes it a "must have". Even my wife has commented that she has not seen me so excited about the daily use of a car in decades.

I love mine so much that I have ordered an R, and while my initial intention was to trade my current GT350 in on it I'm now trying to figure out a way to keep both. :)

Yes, it's worth upgrading to the GT350.

For someone who's stationed abroad and puts less than "average" miles on their car, the Shelby is worth it for resale value alone.

I made the jump from a 15 ppGT!! The Gt350 is a totally different animal in a great way!! I do find myself thinking the GT350 feels a touch slow compared to the ppGT but then you find those RPMs and it blows your mind!!

I felt that way at first...UNTIL I started winding her out then looking down at the absurd speed I was accidentally going, in Mexico.

They are two totally different cars, and to me it's the transmission that makes the biggest difference. And I actually liked the MT82, after MGW and BG fluids. But you can literally get to 55mph in 1st gear in this freaking crazyass car.

I still wana mess with forced induction, but it's just gonna hafta wait because I'm enjoying myself in this thing. One big deal swaying me was the styling. Dont get me wrong, I loved my 16GTPP, but after staring at 350s the GTs became plain looking to me. And I'm also trying the 'buy a factory car and not mod it' vs 'buy a factory car and tear it apart because you put a 15k order in'...and didn't make it very long before changing a couple things up, but they were all minor in comparison to what I wanted to do to the GT...

Oh, and resale value...that's a big one

It does appear that the resale on these cars is pretty strong currently. The '13/'14 GT500s are holding a very significant % of original cost also.

I had a 15 GT PP and traded it in for the GT350.
Never looked back!

In my eyes is it worth an additional $20K?
Ummm... No.
But that is really for you to decide.

Personally I'd rather have the money invested rather than sitting in a depreciating hunk of rusting metal.

But oh... What a Glorious, Bad Ass, Beastly hunk of rusting metal it is. :headbang:

Good luck with your decision.
