Good day gents,

I'm starting to shop for 2016 base GTs and was wanting your opinions/expertise on price and buying. I currently have a beater car I plan on keeping and for the mustang I am flexible on a few colors (black, grey, blue) and am really just buying this as a toy...so I am aiming for a good deal since this really isnt a "need" purchase. So if I have to walk from a deal that is not %100 what I want, I have no problem.

From what I have gathered, invoice is ~$30,000. I am elligible for $1000 in rebates. I will also try and get the $750 brochure coupon so that should bring me down to about $28250. Unfortunately Washington taxes are pretty much 9% so that puts me back at ~$30700. plus a few hundred in document and other random fees...I'm estimating that out
the door price at approx $31,000. Im hoping I could do better, but what do you guys think?

Maybe it is too far for you to travel, but I got a base GT with PP at Koons for 28472 with 500 ford rebate and 750 private cash included. Sticker was 35720.

Thats a pretty solid deal, was $28472 with TT&L? Ive honestly pondered trying to work an internet/email deal with Koons and having them ship a car to Washington. Im not sure if these dealers near me can compete. I guess when I get back from deployment in a week or two I will find out if these local dealers are really willing to come close when I waive $ infront of them.

MY OTD price was 35 but that was with tires (1300), neg equity (1400), tax (2700), their fee (599) and destination (900). The actual price of the car was 28472 (29722 - 500(ford) -750 (private cash)).

Ouch, tax is a killer
Yep. That 2700 included title work and whatnot for out of state too which was a bit much.
