COBB AP3-FOR-003 Mustang Accessport V3 2015 2.3L Ford EcoBoost

We recently showed you how to install COBB's Accessport V3 on the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost. In this video we are going to show the results of installing the Stage 1 tune on your Mustang when using 93 octane fuel.

After simply installing COBB's stage 1 tune we picked up 32 rwhp at the peak and 70 rwtq. Now that we got some great numbers, we can't wait to get started with some modifications. Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel for more updates on our 2015 Mustang EcoBoost project car.

Why do these results appear to be so different from what Cobb has posted themselves?

I think percentage gains wise they are right in line with what COBB has put out. Is this car an auto or manual? Now I don't remember seeing in any of their videos.

Was the dyno running under load? 305 Crank HP would equate to about 250+WHP given a minimum of 15% drivetrain loss, unless it was an AT model which would put it in that 228WHP region @ 25%...

Still, positive gains for sure with the AP!

Old beat up and thankfully running strong
Great improvement but why are the numbers so low to begin with? As stated above the percentage of drivetrain loss seems off

I can't say honestly why their dyno seems to reads lower than others. A dyno is just a tool and depending on setup, operator, etc numbers can be all over the place. I would just focus on the gains made by the tune as a percentage instead of focusing on a number. I made sure to control every variable I could with those pulls to see what the gains truly would be. Coolant temp, air temp, etc were kept as close as possible and the car was never taken off the dyno between stock and then tuned with the Cobb. I was blown away by the difference driving the car home that night, it was night and day with the Cobb tune!
