Hello all,

Just curious what you all picked up going 2 step vs foot braking at the track? Most interested in turbo but all boosted applications are relevant. My converter is a bit tighter then I hoped but hoping the 2 step will help build some boost at the line and shave a couple 10ths. Love to get some real world results.

I use a 2step on mine. Most I see that dont use one are doing 1.6's.
I get 1.3x's every single time unless I spin of course.
2018 10r80 though.

Thanks for the reply. I think my converter may just be too tight. I can 60ft 1.7-1.9 foot braking. I’m at the track tonight and just did 2 passes, set the 2-step at 2400 and went 1.9 60 ft and 2600 went 1.88 60 ft but it was starting to push at that rpm. Car is doing 134-137 up top (interestingly I seem to lose a couple MPH up top on the 2-step). Seems like I need more converter to get it going. Thoughts?

Tighten up your e-brake and pump the brakes a few times once the second bulb comes on. Don't worry about reaction time or racing the other guy.

Pull the ebrake and slam the brakes all the way down. I've gotten mine up to 3600 before without it moving.

I can 60 1.45 without the 2 step... hold breaks and stall up until it feels like tires will spin, then wait for boost to go as high as it will then LEAVE!!

the highest boost I got that way was 0.0psi, with the 2 step I can build up to 6 but then I have a misfire for the rest of the pass so I haven't gotten a clean lick to see how it will leave with the 2 step.

What converter are you running? 6r80?

mods are all in sig, stock 6r80, circle d 3b
Yeah, the 3b makes sense, I’m on a 1b. I already talked to the guys at Circle D, they agreed the converter is too tight. I’m going to take it back out after my event next weekend and send it back to get restalled with a #3 rotor.
