UPDATE -- Full review on page three of this thread!

Hi guys and girls.

New TY Ecoboost owner! Premium, 50th Anniversary, manual trans. Just got it home a few hours ago. Traded in my Focus ST ( in the background in the first pic )

Initial impressions:

Pictures do the color no justice. Never owned a yellow car before, and this thing just pops. I had three people pull up beside me on the highway on the drive home to get a good view of the car.

The seats are fantastic -- fit like a glove and are probably the most comfortable seats of any car I've owned. The seat bottoms are adjustable on the front and the rear. Thanks Ford!

I hit a few on/off ramps at speed, and was impressed -- will give more info after more seat time.

I haven't really got on it yet, wanna break it in the right way. It doesn't initially pull as hard as the ST did, but it's deceiving -- before you know what happened your going 80.

The side mirrors are pretty small. Who cares.

The car is quiet. In fact, it's even quiet ( to my ears ) under acceleration. If there's a "piped-in fake engine sound" coming through the speakers, I didn't hear/notice it. I could hear the transmission in the lower gears over the engine noise. Again, when I get more than 40 miles under my belt, this impression may change.

The pony puddle lights are bigger than I thought they'd be, and definitely noticeable.

I'll post more once I get more seat time. Here's some pics:

Congrats! :clap2:

Can we get some pics and vids?

- Pics and videos please (outside EB idle and outside acceleration please)!
- MPG #s when you have a chance

Also would love to see you push it and see how the MPG holds up. Seeing some reviews that are saying the EB is getting worst then GT and I find that very hard to believe.

Of course! I won't be able to give much more info for a couple days ( work stuff ), but I have a GoPro, and I'll see what I can capture then.

I didn't really push it on the ride home, but I reset the MPG gauge before the trip home from the dealership, and I got 30.4 mpg -- 33 miles highway ( 65-70 mph ), 6 miles city. I bet with prudent driving ( yeah, right! ) you could easily get 30+ mpg highway. I'll report on various driving scenarios as soon as I can.

Kind of disappointed that it doesn't pull hard if you were to gun it.

I sat in a 2015 a few days ago (I'll be test driving it tomorrow) and one of the first things I noticed was how small the side mirrors were. They are smaller than my FR-S mirrors. It looks really nice, but it might hinder some visibility.

Looking forward to some comparisons to the ST. I'm in the same boat as you :)
