It's being sold as: 2015 Mustang Cold Air Kit"
M-9603-M4 ( with calibration )
M-9603-M23 ( without calibration )
So it does include the FRPP cold air intake along with the tuner/calibration device.
My brother was at the Ford swap meet in Columbus, Oh today and he talked to a Ford Racing rep who was there. He asked when the Ford Racing tune for the Ecoboost Mustang was being released, and was told '"in July".
Good! I'll be getting mine sooner than I thought I would!
I'm not sure that's right. Like you said, the Torsen diff is only available on the GT PP. All other Mustangs have the regular clutch-style LSD, which is the type of diff that needs the friction modifier, not the Torsen.
Friction modifiers are specifically for clutch-type LSD's, Torsen diffs...
Actually, it is listed in the manual for the EB ( page 271 ). According to everything I've read, and from what it says on my window sticker, the EB does have an LSD.
Not trying to be argumentative, just trying to help!
My readout was consistently running around .7 mpgs high for the first 5,000 miles or so, but since than it has been rather reliable -- it never reads more than .3 over actual, and will even read too low sometimes.
I posted a comparison video of the stock sound vs. the "pulled #27 fuse" sound earlier in this thread.
Yeah.... there's not much difference, just a little deeper.
Looks like there's a few ex-FoST owners here. I'm one of them. From what I've read, it's a combo of a pre-recorded sound that is RPM dependent, and noise cancellation ( probably what the interior mic is for ).
Anyway, I did a comparison video of the stock sound inside the cabin vs. disabling...
I haven't seen my grass in almost two months now (NE OH), but I drive my Mustang nearly every day. :)
I kept my '07 GT garaged for the winter, but it killed me to think I was making payments on a car I wasn't driving, so I wasn't gonna let that happen again!
I have the OE Pirelli P Zero Nero all seasons ( 255/40/19 ) and they absolutely suck in the snow -- way too easy to get stuck with these tires.
I've driven RWD cars with all-seasons for many years in the snow ( most recently two Lincoln MKVIII's ) and have never had a problem. I've gotten...
The trim piece will be just fine. My window has frozen many times this winter, preventing it from dropping down when closing the door. It does make a louder noise, but the trim piece doesn't get damaged.
Next weekend, I'll be traveling from NE Ohio to Birmingham, AL to participate in a 24 Hours of Lemons race, then off to Daytona Beach to visit family, then back to Ohio. Should be around 2,300 miles.
I may be in the minority here, but I could care less how many cylinders my performance car has, or how it sounds. It could be electric, or even a quad-turbo one cylinder for all I care, as long as it performs well.
Bring on the turbo future. I am ready.
