Everything was going somewhat ok, valve covers and wires attached at the back were a pain in the ass not many mention.

But the biggest issue is one of my oil pump pickup bolts snapped coming out. Not the more difficult one but the upper one. I felt it binding up as it was coming out, screwed it back in a little but on the way out it snapped.

F me :headbonk:

I hate that for you bud, but you'll get it back together no prob. A little never seize should do the trick, I couldn't tell you how many bolts/spark plugs I've stripped or sheared off trying to remove. A little of that stuff goes a long way, it's the only thing to use on stainless and aluminum IMO. Good luck!

Thanks was able to cut a groove in the top of the bolt, heated it a little and backed right out.

All closed up, installed the ATI hub and then realized the AC pulley installs behind the hub, spent an hour trying to use the pullers I have and can't get the right combo of stuff to pull it off. Anyone have a specific setup they've used to pull an ATI damper hub?

Yes I did lol, but honestly, nothing was really that bad of a job. Got the right info for the ATI hub, it has the old school three bolt pattern of older chevy dampers, same 3 holes used for the AC pulley. My only problem is I'm missing the little cone shaped thing that keeps the press out of the threads of the crank and couldn't figure out something to use in its place. Back at it later today, I want to hear this thing run by tomorrow !!

Lots of progress today, lower manifold of whipple installed, ran into some missing parts from my kit, the worst of which was the bypass oring.

Didn't have an H17 to remove the alternator pulley. This was s tuner kit so it didn't have the ACT harness and new sensor, only the VMP intake temp setup.

Now that I've done this install I'd say it's not bad at all. Worst parts were the oil pump pickup (electric tape trick WORKED), removing wire harness from back of valve covers, and lack of good ATI instructions. Assemble that damper 100% before, and use a torch to heat the hub. Heated it enough it slid on with no bolt heard it hit the timing gear.
