Thankful tonight. The rain made some massive puddles, my car couldn’t find grip in the rain, went through three lanes of traffic and barreled through the woods.


Currently at the hospital for injuries. Thankful nobody was hurt. No airbags went off either. Hoping it’s totalled. The thing is a total mess.

Damn, just a car. Life is invaluable.

At least nobody is hurt. Now you can replace the car with a new one! :-) hopefully they total it, but if the airbags didn't deploy, they might not... have to see. Looks pretty tore up though. Door gap is huge, maybe bent "frame".

Officer told me he thought it would be. Radiator and engine Bay Area looked tore up. Hard to see with mud and dirt all caked up everywhere. I’m hoping it is. I love that car to death but I don’t want it after flying 20 something feet through the woods. Wheels looked misaligned too.

Cincinnati guy here. Sorry to hear you were out in that today. After almost 4 weeks without rain, I'm sure it was slick. Hope you're ok, sorry for your loss...

Glad to hear you are alright. That machine is total loss. Start shopping for a replacement.

Yep! 71s about a few minutes down from Mason. Hit some puddle patched, and just lost control. Tried my best to course correct, couldn’t, went through all lanes of traffic. Shot through the woods going at least 55-60. Very thankful.

Your life cannot be replaced, your GT can. Hopefully your injuries are not too serious.

OP, you won with your life so you definitely have a good head start on a new beginning. Do you think you are going to get another Mustang?

I definitely got lucky. Mild concussion. Strains. Bruises. Hurts like hell. Reminds me of my football days.

Despite my tears lost for my car, and the incredible 12000 miles I put on her, and her saving my life, not sure I’ll go back. As a car enthusiast my wants are usually ever exceeding. If it is totaled, it would be enough to free me from negative equity on my previous. We will see.

Sorry to hear man. I drove back yesterday from Xenia back to West Chester on a fairly worn RE-71Rs (which are pretty horrible in the rain of this magnitude) and it was pretty sketchy drive...
