Seat wear after 2 weeks

So I just noticed this wear on the drivers seat after two weeks of ownership it may have been there when I picked it up and just did not notice it. The stitching is damaged and their is a small hole in the leather. Comments would be most appreciated.

Do you have metal studs on the back of your jeans? They can easily cause that type of damage.

My car is just over a year old and the seats are still pristine. I make a habit of swinging my arse into the seat and, as far as possible, avoiding contact with the outer edge of the bolster altogether.

Mine had a hole in it, got it replaced under warranty, took 6 months for them to replace it:shrug:
Take it back and get it replaced

Yeah, take it back. I don't ever wear jeans in the car, two reasons, 1. Exactly what you've posted, 2. I've got the Ceramic leather and jeans can rub of dye into them.

Probably best not to wear trousers in the car

I am in Australia and purchased my GT in December. I noticed the same marks, although no hole, on mine. I've looked at several cars including new cars still in factory wrapping and every one has had the marks. I reported in to my Ford dealer whose new cars also had the marks, they were going to pass it on to Ford Australia. The dealer thought the scuffs may me made by the robot placing the seat in the car during assembly.

Lets be real the seats in these cars are cheap quality compared to challengers and camaros! It is what it is!

My big arse clatters that same bit every time i get in the car. It now has slight wear.
Check your arse size.

That's interesting and useful to know. I've reported my damaged seat to my dealer and they're looking into it. Hopefully to recover the seat under warranty.

The wrong trousers, Grommit!

More likely the monkeys jumping in and out shifting them plant/train/docks/ship/undersealers/ship/docks/truck etc.
