Good stuff. Probably a little scary dropping all that money and having these problems.
A "little" is putting it mildly.

Has anyone else looked at their air fuel ratio? I constantly watch mine while driving and it ranges anywhere from 12.0:1 to 20.0:1 Is anyone else seeing the AF ration going to 20:1? I never really paid attention to it until I put the blower on so I don't know if that range is normal or if I've got a problem.
You should only concern yourself with afr at wot. As throttle input increases afr should fall.

I personally find the on board reading to have a minor delay relative to an aftermarket offering such as an AEM

Mine feels just like you explained except for the blinking cel. I regapped my stock plugs as well. What's weird is the car feels great if I go wot from first or second to third but if I go wot in third the car goes nowhere . I can't wait for this update.
The blinking CEL is NOT a tune issue.

This is an install issue of either not gapping/installing the plugs correctly.
Or not loading a tune in the car at all. (people do this often)

The ONLY, and I mean ONLY issue is the midrange "bog" in the tune.
And again NOT on all cars, just a few.

I've seen my a/f ratio in the low 10s than it typically goes to 20 when I'm off the throttle.
Normal

****Update**** I gapped my plugs at .34 and it resolved the top end misfire and feels way better. But I still have the midrange hesitation which I'm sure the procharger updated file will fix. I'm feeling much better about my kit now. Definitely relieved! Thanks for the tips guys!
Guess that goes hand and hand with what I stated in the first paragraph.

Good stuff. Probably a little scary dropping all that money and having these problems.
We can't control the quality of peoples installs. So far we have had people do the following.

- Not install a tune
- Not plug in all the coil packs after install
- One customer didn't plug in the injectors
- One didn't tightened a tube, and had a tube not connected the whole time
- Another installed the Diablo "91" tune and not the "ProCharger" tune

The list goes on and on. But since this thread is on the internet.
Everyone thinks ANYTHING going on with the install is "TUNE" related.
Which is NOT the case.

So again, it needs to be stated, that ONLY a handful of cars have this issue.
And that is a bog from 3k rpm to 4k rpm ONLY.

Anything more then this, the install needs to be reviewed for issues.
- Check engine lights
- Low boost
- Crank no Start
- Etc.

Procharger any good news for this weekend? Last i heard was monday or tuesday, and then wednesday possibly thursday... no luck?
The issue was found, (the inTUNE wasn't taking all of our changes)
The tunes are correct. (Verified this week and multiple cars)

Diablo is working on a way to get the file in the inTUNE correctly.
Just received an email from them at 2:06pm, stating they are working on it still.
Nobody wants this update sent out more then me, threads like this don't make me happy.

Still, the good news is.......
- The cars that have the issue are all drivable
- If a person tunes it in person, there are no file transfer issues
- The error only causes a lack in power from 3-4krpm,
- The error does not cause engine damage possible, its just limiting TQ output.
- The files are "correct", Diablo has them, and is working on the conversion.

When "canned" tunes don't work. Other companies quickly state...
"Sorry, go get a custom tune and you will be fine"

However we have not done that. We worked to find a car that had the issue.
We got the car brought here to our facility to find the cause. It was found.
And now you got some of the brighest minds in the industry working on a resolution.

At the end of the day, ProCharger has you taken care of! :):cheers:

Rookie question here. I have an appointment for a custom tune on Tuesday which I will probably keep as I really want to be done with this already. The tuner I'm going with tunes with SCT which means I will not be able to use my Diablo tuner. My question is this, can I use the diablo tuner that was included with my HO kit to tune my 2001 Cobra? I'm sure I can email diablo and find out but just thought I would post on here as well.

As long as you "unlock" the inTUNE by using the "restore factory" settings.

Then yes, it will unlock the programer, and you can use it on the Cobra.

Procharger,
Thanks for clearing up the AFR stuff for me. Like I said, I had never looked at it before the install and was just a little worried at seeing such a lean mixture. I emailed tuning today and they put me on the list for the fresh tune. I can't wait to see what a beast these cars can really be. On another note, has anyone istalled one of the red race valves yet? If so, how does it sound. I have to admit I'm not crazy about how the one that comes with the kit sounds. Going fast and sounding cool... Thats what it's all about. lol

Thank You! I appreciate the help. This makes me feel a lot better about having to custome tune my car. I can now justify the extra tuning fee and I will have 2 improved cars.

I immediately changed to the procharger bullet valve that completely seals under boost. Sounds 10x better

I finally went to a local tuner and just got a custom tune. I've been driving it for a month and I couldn't take it anymore. Made all the difference in the world! Problem now is it's only putting out 5.5lbs of boost. Everything is tight and installed properly with no boost leaks??
I would appreciate it if you guys would post your boost #s here once you get a proper tune. I don't want to hear from the pro shops doing the installs but rather the average Joe's and see how yours compare. Thanks guys!
