long tubes and rasp

just finished my catless long tubes with borla atak and its loud which I like but how can I kill the rasp for a smoother sound. h pipe?

That helps. X is generally raspier. Lots of videos on here. Hard to truly tell from a low quality video track and phone and computer speakers but they'll give you a general idea.

it sounds like the baffles in the ataks are shaking out. it's definitely not a smooth sound

That system is going to be LOUD. Shouldn't rattle though.

The Borla touring mid muffler would work.

Get a couple of 3" resonators welded up.

You have a 3" cat back. Most H pipes out there are only 2.5". You would need to have a shop make you a H pipe which isn't that hard. Or just get the Borla touring mid pipe.

Magnaflow has a dual 3" in and out you could use

I think it may be the Atak's more than X vs. H. I've seen a couple of people who put the stock muffers back on with headers and it sounds killer.....I've also heard one video where the guy used the Borla resonator and it sounded pretty good also, not very raspy.
I liked the sound of the headers with stock mufflers so much that I kept my stock system for the day when and if I decide to do headers.
