I've always been more of a Mustang guy, but they lost me with the 2015. I just don't like the gaping catfish/whaleshark grill. I actually preferred the 2012 look. I've owned a 2006 GT, 2011 GT500, and just bought a 2017 Black Camaro 2SS Redline edition. For me, the 2018 doubled down on this look...
This. For everybody that likes the refresh, great! Not knocking anyone who likes it and buys one. Some of us just really wanted it to come out and be blown away. And when it didn't, there's a little resentment and disappointment there. Still team Mustang! :ford:
Didn't really care for the 15s until I saw the GT350. Looked like they shrunk the grill some and looked good! Was hoping they went that direction for the 18s. Seems they doubled down on the big whale shark grill. Still think it'd look a little better smaller. Maybe aftermarket?
2015 didn't impress me. GT350 did. Kinda like the new headlights but they don't mesh with the grill design. Never did like be big grill, but somehow it doesn't bother me on the 350. The front end design just doesn't look like all the parts match up well together for me on the 2018. Maybe it'll...
Playing around... excuse the crude 'shop. I like the new headlights, but they don't fit with the rest of the front. I was never crazy about the Sid from Ice Age front end on the 15 but this just... nope. The grill is just too big for the look, imo. Not that my 'shop is better, I just don't know...
I bought a 2011 GT500 new and only kept it for under 2 years. It was a great car, but it was a weekend fun car that I didn't drive enough to justify the payments. Hated leaving it parked anywhere and was always nervous about something happening to it when I was away. Typical garage queen.
So...
Nailed it, LMAO! I thought the same thing the first time I saw the straight on front view! I think it's how the lens is placed all the way out to the edge.
Probably the thing I dislike the most about the 2015 is the headlight shape. I'm not crazy about how far it wraps back. For me, it kills the look and softens the front corner too much. Kinda like this better.
I prefer the look of the 2012 front end to the 2015, but don't know if trying to get that look out of the 15 works. To me this emphasizes just how far apart the headlights are and makes it even more weird looking.
This! One of the things I don't like about the 2015 is how far out the wrap around headlights are. They remind me of the sloth Sid from Ice Age's eyes. I wish the headlights were less wrapped around, moved a little closer, and the grill narrowed a little to accommodate the change...
Haven't decided yet. Waiting so see what the competition brings. The S550 didn't wow me like I hoped it would, but I still like it. Going to pay my truck off first, so I'm looking at picking up something in two years.
Considering:
-2017 S550 S/E
-2017 Camaro
-2017 Challenger
-Used/leftover...
I played around with the front proportions a while ago but wasn't too thrilled with the results, so I didn't post them. I made the lights less wrapped and centered them a little more and reduced the grill. Sometimes when I look at the 15 from the front it looks like the headlights are too far...
