Hmm I don't have anyone. LC2i is stable up to 40 volts. When I measured volts using DMM placing one probe on ground of LC2i the other on power wire, I was getting a reading of 11-12. When placing probes on amps power/ground the reading was showing 20-25.

Yeah I'll try. Do they typically replace it if they can't find an issue to be safe? Or just send back same unit?

Got it as a gift. However, Alpine said they will repair it as I have the birth certificate which shows less than a year. The issue is, they said if they don't find anything wrong with it, they will send it back. I don't want to waste time and money shipping it not knowing it's an amp issue.

Yeah how do I check high voltage? And if that's the cause how do I limit the voltage but still have the bass?

Ok so tested both coils independently and both seem to work. Once both coils are wired to work together. Goes into protection after some time. What next?

Hi so I tested a drive I usually go for and it fails by the time I arrive with one of the coils as described. Although it sounds weaker, I tried to boost the knobs on the LC2i and it doesn't seem to go into protection. I switched the coil to the other and will report back on my drive back home...

I see. And if I hook up the opposite +/- afterwords, that would be the other coil? So if it works with both, does that signal amp issue?
