  1. Do summer tires on the V6 make sense?

Thanks for the feedback MidwayJ. That's what I was thinking too, about the acceleration. I usually don't break the tires loose on accel unless the road is slippery and/or I am giving it too much gas while turning sharply. I've thought about getting a new set of wheels but I'm trying to keep...
  2. Do summer tires on the V6 make sense?

Hi guys, I've got a 2016 Mustang V6 with about 10k miles on it. The only upgrades I've done on it are ditching the spare and the MPT performance tune (both 87 and 93 octane tunes). This is my first car with any sort of power and I am straight up addicted now (!). I spend a lot of time...
  3. How are the stock Mustang leather seats holding up?

That’s great to hear, Bald Menace. They are definitely good seats, I have the base cloth in my V6 and they are holding up great. I probably just want something different just to mix things up but I might just put the money towards a performance pack instead. Sounds like the leather seats hold...
  4. How are the stock Mustang leather seats holding up?

Good point - I forgot about the 201A leather. I thought the vert was decent enough but you are right about the gas. I put some 93 octane in mine and it felt a bit faster/more responsive. I would like to get the performance pack but I'm wondering if that would make the ride too harsh for long...
  5. How are the stock Mustang leather seats holding up?

Yeah, I'm thinking I'll get the 101A package for the bigger screen and Sync 3 and cloth seats again. Might possibly go crazy and get the magnaride and performance package too. As much as I'd like leather it seems the seats don't hold up very well.
  6. How are the stock Mustang leather seats holding up?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. I'm thinking seriously about switching out my '16 V6 for a premium '18 or '19 ecoboost but I wonder if the leather seats will hold up. I drove a brand spankin' new 2019 ecoboost premium vert while on vacation in Florida and loved the leather seats and engine...
  7. Can anyone recommend an exhaust to go with my MPT prx93 tune?

Good ideas guys, thanks. Those Holley exhausts look like they might do the trick. I forgot they make em for the V6 too.
  8. MPT Tune Officially out

I get around 17 mpg around town with spirited driving and short trips. Coming back from a family trip yesterday I got 34 mpg, pure highway driving at 60-70 mph.
  9. Can anyone recommend an exhaust to go with my MPT prx93 tune?

Hey all, I'm brand new to modding cars. In fact, installing my MPT tune last month was the first real mod of any kind that I've done. I can see how this could get addictive.. My question is: What exhaust would you recommend? I don't know if some exhausts pair better with certain tunes or...
  10. V6 tunes worth it ?

Seems a bit much to me too but this is the page I am referencing: http://www.morepowertuning.com/15mustangtunedescriptions Like I said I am new to this stuff so I am not sure if I am understanding this correctly. I assumed the 40 number there was not rhp but bhp?
  11. V6 tunes worth it ?

93PRX as well here on an automatic. The throttle is much more sensitive than stock but also easily modulated. Normal drive mode is a little less sensitive than sport. Both are great and I can predictably drive with either one. So far I am getting a few more MPG than stock which is nice...
  12. V6 tunes worth it ?

Yeah, I tried to load the .bef file onto the SCT and the program didn't seem to "see" it. It just sees my .cef MPT tunes in my tunes folder on my desktop.
  13. V6 tunes worth it ?

Hey Fuse, Thanks for posting this. I did as you described and the SCT program found the flash/stock file and downloaded it onto my computer. It's a .bef file while the MPT tunes I have have .cef extensions. Not sure how to use this .bef file but I think you are on the right track. Chris
  14. V6 tunes worth it ?

Hey D Berry, I just loaded the 93 octane MPT performance tune myself yesterday and noticed the same thing. I've got the 3 MPT tunes that I bought and loaded on the programmer and then then "V6" tune that was already there. I'm wondering how to return to stock as well. As an aside, the...
  15. Acceleration on my '16 V6 automatic isn't consistent.

I'm sure it could be the traction control, I'll have to play with turning it off. As I said, I'm brand new to cars like this so this is a real education for me. My buddy, who drives a manual Cayman and Audi, calls my new Mustang V6 a "gateway car". Indeed it is, I love it and want more but I...
  16. Acceleration on my '16 V6 automatic isn't consistent.

I'll take my car for a spin today and check for that. Thanks for the ideas everyone - you've given me plenty to think about and avenues to try so that's really appreciated.
  17. Acceleration on my '16 V6 automatic isn't consistent.

Makes sense. I guess that means that the problem shouldn't exist if I just use the shifters. I'm starting to really understand why people like manuals, I'm really tempted to go the manual GT route.
  18. Acceleration on my '16 V6 automatic isn't consistent.

Hey all, Let me preface this by saying that I am brand-spanking new to cars with any kind of performance. My last car was a 4 cylinder Impreza - practical in the snow, also painfully boring. I'll spare you the litany of sluggish cars before that. So, this Mustang V6 I've got now is...
  19. Anyone know the stock 17" wheel weight for the V6?

    Good to know man, thanks.
  20. Anyone know the stock 17" wheel weight for the V6?

Yeah, good point about the lip. I am trying to focus on acceleration above all else, that's why I'm going for as light as possible. The bronze or black look of the wheels will be nice too, of course, as the stock silver ones are pretty plain. Whatever will shrink 0-60 times is ultimately...
