I think you should have inspected the vehicle as others have said. I inspected mine before taking it home and the day afyer i noticed it has
D a small scratch like on the rear bumper. Am i mad? No i was the idiot who picked it up and drove it home at 9pm on a black mustang. You cant see crap but...
Videos are deceiving as the camera can dictate how it actually sounds depending on the canera used. So far my idea is to remove resonators and mufflers and add a long glass pack where the resonator sat before this would tame the sound waves before they exist but still sound crisp. I have had...
So i have checked with a scanner and it is code 0300, misfire detected. Unclear of what it means. Can anyone shed some light? Torrie do you think these are related to the bov hose being disconnected? And no the plug is connected properly, i just used a round plug to cap the oem hose. If anything...
Unfortunately i just saw it this morning right as i hopped in to come to work so i dont know what code it is yet. It has to be related to the recirculation and bov because i havent touched anything else and its got 123 miles so. It coukd be something else idk. What do you think dealership visit...
Hey torrie quick question can you disable the bov function on the x4? Meaning if one went the mechanical bov way? I have unhooked the stock bov diverting hose and capped it at the intake so it would vent to atmosphere and my cel came on this morning. The car has 123 miles. Idk why it came on i...
Sorry map i thought that flange on the piping was a standard 38mm flange, correct me if im wrong in that. I have a tial bov which i was considering using. Thats why i wanted just the piping and couplers of course.
Robb im not sure of your stock gap but your owners manual should have that info. You having an N/A motor is less troublesome than out turbo engines because boost pressure can blow the spark causing a misfire so our gaps must be appropriate or risk damage. Hope it helps
Thanks a lot i just plugged the stock intake and left the stock bov to vent to air just to see it i like it or not. If not then i'll upgrade to a mechanical. Time will tell, thank you for your time.
You are right it might not outperform a more expensive designed part but then again it might. After looking at some of the intakes by air raid and jlt, i'm considering just removing the factory box and use the stock pipe and extend that pipe into the fender with a nice cone filter. Just doing it...
Can anyone school me on this oe bov set up. Its electric of course but if i wanted to vent to atmosphere with a nicer unit what must be done to the oe plug? Anyone have tried this?
