Through you car in neutral (auto or manual) and floor it!!! You can freely go well above 6,500 RPM without limitation.

So is that to say that the driveshafts of the V6 (and maybe EcoBoost models) of the 2015 Mustang's, also have that issue? If so, I would think that would be very important to know if ever considering any kind of top speed mod!!!

The speed governor is on there for a reason; to prevent drive shaft failure!!! Look what occurred when the owner of a 2011 V6 removed his!!!! [ame]

+ 1 Excellent advice. In a former "life" I owned a Prius for seven years. Had to do the exact same thing with that car all the time! They would say "the bladder would burp" if you didn't turn the nozzle upside down. Fortunately, that is the ONLY similarity I can find between the two cars. ;)

Not to change the subject, but why does Porsche charge slightly LESS for their new convertibles than their hard tops? A Boxster costs less than a Cayman. Usually one has to pay a premium for a convertible. What am I missing??
