  1. Not only was the GT 350 crushed by the C8....

The reason the GT 350 is leaving the lineup is it is time, nothing more. It is a limited production car and this is no surprise to anyone, it has nothing to do with performance metrics at all. The GT 350 was produced to provide a car that could be entered legally into sports car racing with...
  2. Ford almost got the gt500 right!

I think they got it right, the DCT trans is one hell of a step up and another first for Mustang. As far as the dreaded rotary knob goes, of course they are going to use one from the Ford parts bin, they would be foolish not to. It saves time and money for us and them, BMW and the likes use the...
  3. Official 2020 GT500 brochure!

Love it, great job Ford! The Mustang Gt gets 11:8 with the slower shifting 10 speed and 460 hp, can't wait to see what 700 + hp and the very quick DCT 7 speed does.
  4. 2020 GT500 Will Be Revealed on Jan 14, 2019! Sneak Peek of Supercharged 5.2-Liter Predator Engine

Well looks like I'm going to Detroit again this January! Cant wait, we indeed live in the good times for car people.
  5. 2020 GT500 Mustang Caught Testing Uncovered For The First Time

Can't wait for this car to be revealed! It's an exciting time to be a car enthusiast!
  6. Guess what? Motortrend favors the Camaro again

Well I'm going to call BS on this Motor Trend review. !2.6? Really? [ame] Here is a normal guy, hasn't drag raced till now just learning. Brand new 2018 Mustang GT PP loaded. First run 117+ mph trap speed. Second run 119+ mph trap speed. He even puts the car on a scale and shows you the weight...
  7. 2017 PCOTY. Not the ZL1 1LE.

The only advantage the ZL! 1LE has over the GT350 R is power, plain and simple nothing more. Both cars pull the same average G, so give the Shelby 61 more cubic inches and a big supercharger and then re run that race. I know why the two are being compared as they are both the current top dog...
  8. Ring Time for the ZL1-1LE........wow

Impressive run for sure, but I'm with 1320 on this.Without any kind of independent verification we will never know if this particular car has been modified over the car people will be actually buying at the dealership. It reminds me of the publicity stunt FCA did with the Hellcat and Gas Monkey.
  9. Count Down to Detroit Auto Show 2017!!

I think you will see a bump in the base Mustang GT power to equal the SS Camaro. The GT350 losing weight and maybe a slight hp increase, and the GT500 using the 5.2 ( not FPC) with a supercharger. With Fords light-weighting trend going through the trucks now, I think you will see that hit the...
  10. Camaro 50th Anniversary

Shouldn't they wait till 2024 to roll this one out? ;) couldn't resist...:lol:
  11. The New 2017 ZL1 Camaro

Here we go again, this will be a fast car especially with the auto trans. I'm not liking the front treatment and the rear spoiler looks like a fleamarket purchase, cant see it working well other than an image booster. What I'd like to know is since this really is the top engine from the Vette...
  12. 5.0 Coyote vs LS3/LT1 GM engines - how do they compare?

Ok, "So where is this fact? On an Internet forum where a bunch of fanboys got together and decided it was fact..? That's not a fact." No, not a bunch of fanboys. Its readily apparent in their reviews and has been for years. I am not the only one who notices it either. When they review or...
  13. 5.0 Coyote vs LS3/LT1 GM engines - how do they compare?

The MotorTrend argument is not an excuse, its just a well known fact. Anyway you missed my point here, look at the times 12.8 @ 112 and 12.9 @ 112. Now that's quite a difference from 13.2 @ 109, and .93? .give me a break R&T, more like .96.The new SS does edge out the GT PP, but not by alot, its...
  14. 5.0 Coyote vs LS3/LT1 GM engines - how do they compare?

Those numbers for the Mustang are obviously fudged a bit in favor of the Camaro. Even Motor Trend who are very GM biased got better numbers than that.http://www.motortrend.com/news/2015-ford-mustang-gt-first-test/ Backed up by Motorweek too,[ame] And I would have to say alot of it has to do with...
  15. Will Ford Up the Ante on `17 Model Mustangs?

I think the only advantage the new Camaro has is more standard horsepower. Did you see this little tidbit?http://www.enginelabs.com/features/pri-coverage/pri-2015-inside-ford-racings-new-5-2-coyote-crate-engine-a52xs/ Its is all done by mixing existing parts, it would be so easy for Ford to use...
  16. Driving Stick

Love standard transmissions! Puts you in touch with the car, way more fun!
  17. GT350R rear wing

True it may give a slight bit in the corners, but when they get out on the high banks of Daytona I can see an advantage having a higher top speed. Alot of the passing is done on the straights. It just looks like a good balance between downforce and top end efficiency. :ford:
  18. GT350R rear wing

I understand they are not only for top speed, but a more streamlined spoiler with less drag would help pick up time on the straightaways.
  19. GT350R rear wing

I was at the Detroit auto show last weekend and saw the GT350R. the rear spoiler is big but you can see how it would function with the car when you look down the sides and over the top. The Z28 and the Z06 have a short spoiler with a big wickerbill that stands straight up, I understand they work...
  20. If Z/28 was priced identical to GT350, which would you buy?

Ahh my bad must be turkey brain, still count to three and that's it.
