Depends on what model S550 you have ... there's 3 different versions of the AC evaporator to cover all S550 models.i thought the -y was the latest, what dealer in fl you go to?

Post #608 lists them:

according to that post they put in a v6 model evap in my gt?V - EB
W - V6
Y - GT
Yours is the latest for the GT. Both parts have been used for some time now, lets keep our fingers crossed that we don't become the first to experience failures with these parts :(
It's also possible that the GT base uses the same part as the V6 since you don't have dual zone climate control.according to that post they put in a v6 model evap in my gt?
ahh thats an interesting pointIt's also possible that the GT base uses the same part as the V6 since you don't have dual zone climate control.
You could have used the extra 4 lbs. of Freon the factory put in the EB I bought in June. It wasn't cooling properly and the dealer saw the issue. When I left it still wasn't cooling properly and I was back 2 weeks later and it still wasn't right. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago and I traded the EB for a GT and it's cold like it should have been in the EB. The EB build date was 06/16 and the GT was 06/17.................After paying for my AC recharge that was 1/2lb low on a 1.5 yr old car with 36,050 miles, I called the dealer for a goodwill refund. Two calls and it is done. Props to Horne Ford.
Glad I got the Ford ESP for future problems.
