That's insane, Dave! So far, my borla resonator has held up.
Which one are you using? I need to find something that isn't going to fail after three track days (stock resonator) or a dozen (FRPP/Borla mufflers).

Hmmm. We are having resonator issues too.

Here is what we did recently. We roll around on the stock header back set up daily, then swap to this ARH to Vibrant Resonator to Magnaflow Street Catback for track days.

Only one track day and thus far it's fine, but we shall see.

This was what I had hoped was my final setup, this lasted a season and uses the Magnaflow muffler with the integrated "X" pipe, then 2 Vibrant resonators and then dumped just past the rear diff. I am running 3" pipe everywhere with this setup.

This setup measured 96db at full chat at NCM's 50ft track side mic. Even with the big hole in the bottom it still only made it to 100db. I had a total of 4 of the Vibrant resonators and hit 103db so the Magnaflow was added in place of 2 of Vibrant pieces to bring the noise level down.

Admittedly the muffler was dragged a couple of times when the car was being loaded onto the trailer before I got the final ride height set. It was dragged over plywood so I would be surprised if it had any impact. I am short on time to redesign this piece so I just ordered another Magnaflow muffler and rebuilt the same design until I have time to test out a new design.

First time on the track and never figured out best braking point on the back straight. Easily a sub 1:30 track with more seat time and less traffic. Optimum Performance's ass in the beginning of the video. I don't know what happened to him after that. lol

* Stock resonator was split by the end of the night. :(

Lap 6, starting around 8:15. Point by from the BOSS 302, held up by the Focus and early braking on the back due to the Dinan M3.
LOL stoli I seem to recall pointing you by because we caught traffic within one lap, and You didn't disappear from my view :ninja:

Stoli

Looks like traffic sucked. Wasn't much better in the advanced group. The big sweeper after the back straight you are doing what 95% of the drivers are doing. You need to hold your turn until the end of the inside curbing, if you do that it is no problem keeping your foot planted through the left hander onto the front straight. Turn 3 is easily flat out it sounded like you were partial throttle when you had a clean track. Finally the right hander after the back straight into the S's you need to turn in a little earlier and straighten out the S's, I still have a hard time getting that one right.

PS ditch the helmet cam. ;)

Come down to TNIA in May and I will do a ride along. Just remember I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer

Overall impression - that's a fast track. ;) I'm used to working braking zones and setting up corner entry and making time up that way more than anything else. Roebling was more of a perfect line and how far you're willing to push high speed lateral grip. Very different, but very fun experience.

Wow this is a fast track! I loved the elevation changes. Though it doesn't look like it, there are definitely some tricky technical sections to it. It took me most of the day to figure out turns 3 and 4. Entering turn 8 I was doing over 120 mph but didn't quite have the nerve to hold it. I would trail brake slightly and then wonder why I did it every time.

I've been very impressed with how the stock Pirellis have held up so far for two events. I'm excited for when I get some dedicated track tires and wheels. Once I do that, I can work more on dialing in the suspension.

Was WAY out of it for downshifting/heal-toe at this event. Maybe because, by the time I got near home, I could barely breath or swallow. Drove to the ER and apparently I have bronchitis and probably a sinus infection. I have to basically sit with a humidifier pointed at my face to breath comfortably right now. My throat didn't feel great at the track, but I figured that was because I had a bit of food poisoning Saturday night and spent early Sunday morning barfing my face off in my bathroom. Not that anyone cares, but... was just like WTF! What a weekend. Maybe karma for crossing the blend line (got black flagged... oops!).

Car felt pretty good on such a bumpy track. From the GoPro video, I have at least one lap where I broke 1:15 which, I am told, is pretty good for a noobie (who was coasting the second half of the straight to cool the car). Plenty of cars around 1:15: supercharged RSX, BMW 435, turbo S2000, 370Z..

By far the weakest point on the car was stopping. On the stock suspension the *whole* car just weighs on the fronts and those poor ol' 4 pots just carry everything. I was heavy on the brakes for *one* lap and I already felt things fading.

I clocked 1.08g max lat for the day. I took it very easy on the car. Barely put heat in the tires and the engine oil temps stayed around noon. It felt like I had more rubber than the asphalt could handle.

I'll edit this post with lap when I get around. I do have a RaceCapture/Pro on the way so we'll have data next time.

I used my sony camera for the first time in a long time as I was planning on overlaying my traqmate data, but I forgot to set it up correctly for the track so the video is really shaky.
