2650 will be more reliable than Whipple when pushed hard based on what ive seen. The 2650 rotor pack with a big TB and intercooler is hard to beat. Edelbrock and Odin got it right. But the larger Whipple will ultimately have more potential. I don’t know about the others but the Whipple iat2 is super low due to an efficient intercooler.
Whipple will live forever, maintenance free at only 700whp and do it effortlesslyMaybe it would help to give some more info on my plans with the car. For the most part its going to be all street use, might I have fun and take it down a strip or a track, sure. But not primarily. I'd like it to be as reliable as can be and steerable. I'm not looking to run e85 or have to put slicks on it. I get that ill probably be throwing some stickier tires on maybe r888r's, but nothing too crazy. I'll be upgrading the clutch, half shafts, drives haft, oil pump and crank gears as well. I like the whipple for the fact that its a twin screw and seems to be a crowd favorite. And I get everyone will have their opinions I just want to make sure I make the best decision for me and what I plan to do. I'm hoping to push 650 to 700 wheel, and I'll be satisfied with that.
I even considered hellion TT kit, but seems like a lot of extra coin to make the same power, plus I've owned plenty of turbo cars and never messed with superchargers so I figured ill do something different this time around.
