at the end of the day, we really like the hellion setups, a full turbo company that builds and sells and stands behind their setups, they are always around and always will be

I'm not too worried about the loss of the tune although it bothers me that I paid for something that I never got, it could have been worse I could have been out the whole kit. In the end it was my own fault for not doing research on BW before handing over 12K had no idea what kind of scammer I was dealing with, he can BS as good as he welds.Randomly riding a bike on Snapchat too, and i hadn’t seen him on there in forever. Good luck getting your tune, he seems to have lost it
Which turbo's did you originally get the Comp's or Precision and was the part # not checked when you received them ?Evil, true story. I ended up updating the turbos to BB to a tune of $2600 to get what I already paid for once. I have completely changed this kit, it is no longer a BW kit. Finish Line Performance, Rogue Racecars, Tin Soldier Racecars, BA Motorsports & James Goertz (the guy that used to make all BW stuff) have made this into a full custom kit for me. It actually goes back together Monday. Should be a BAD MF.
How involved is the LPF install. Are there instructions? What are the more complicated parts of the install?
I just sold my Procharger MT82 car and I’m looking at his kit for when I get my next Auto car
I just installed my LPF kit and it was fairly easy to install. I'd say about 6-8 hours is acceptable. I just took my time and did it in a week working on it for about 2 hours a night after work. How involved is the LPF install. Are there instructions? Set up looks great!I just installed my LPF kit and it was fairly easy to install. I'd say about 6-8 hours is acceptable. I just took my time and did it in a week working on it for about 2 hours a night after work.
Love seeing my kit and my investment under the hood. AllI'm now looking at the LPF kit more seriously. Hellion's issue with the pipes being lower than the K-member may be overhyped. This convinced me that dents don't matter as much as folks think.
This
But I'm not a fan of the top mounted solution as I rather have heat under and further back than up front and high. Plus I rather have weight lower down and closer to centerline.
My biggest issue is I have 1 7/8 headers on the car already. I was thinking a P1X but I want better low end torque. I'm now of the thought that it is worth removing the headers and reselling them for an LPF. Thoughts all?
Don't get me wrong, power wise, I think all the kits will be pretty much the same. My chief complaint with top mounted kits is you have a heat source next to a heat sink (radiator). For drag racing, I can see this being a minor thing. For long use like a road course, I could see this as problematic. Same goes for putting more weight far forward and high up versus towards the center and lower down. Seems it would be more balanced in the turns.Love seeing my kit and my investment under the hood. All
Kits for he s197 are under hood and there really isn’t many heat issues. So why would the s550 be any different?
Yeah try denting your exhaust like that after the turbo’s on a turbo car and get back to me lol. That test is on a weak NA motor. Way different.
