Care to share the SW CAD model? I have a better Rendering tool if interested! After dimensioning I spent some time in Solidworks sketching. I have a custom font I'm going to use but didn't have it in place when I rendered the following shot. I also did a quick and easy on some of the extrude cuts, hence why the snake's ribs differ a little than the OEM badge. I'll spend more time and finish it when I can.
This emblem looks dated, like low res olds style cnc. I like to see an artist upgrade with more detail and more dangerous!Care to share the SW CAD model? I have a better Rendering tool if interested!
"Issues" as in the wing mounting flange faces wouldn't sit flush on the trunk?Had some issues pairing the carbon fiber trunk with the wing but my husband's ingenuity proved invaluable!
Not really. It was flush but I think either we were off on the placement of the templates or the amount of flex was more than we bargained for. The holes just wouldn't line up. We'd get two holes on one side but the third wouldn't line up so we'd loosen and try again... NOTHING was working. My husband lost patience and came up with his own solution. These problems are probably due to our own inexperience in these matters, though. I'm sure you'll be fine. lol"Issues" as in the wing mounting flange faces wouldn't sit flush on the trunk?
As I stated earlier, I did a quickie on the extrude cut of the ribs. I can continue editing the file to mirror stock. My concern at the time was just getting something together that I could scale on a badge blank. That is the GT350 snake. Here it is on a CF wheel I rendered...This emblem looks dated, like low res olds style cnc. I like to see an artist upgrade with more detail and more dangerous!
So did he ream a hole(s) on the decklid or address the issue on the spoiler? Not really.
