New SVT GT350 Mustang (S550) Undresses at Nurburgring!

SVT engineers tried to escaped the prying eyes of American Mustang fans when it hopped across the ocean to test the next SVT Mustang at the Nurburgring track in Germany [See FULL GALLERY], now free of the heavy camouflage we had seen to date….. but we now have an (almost) unadulterated look at the new design of SVT’s latest creation!

High performance cues include many elements that we have all been expecting from previous spy photos: prominent hood scoop, functional front fender vents, aggressive front splitter and a front fascia that lends itself even more to the “Cobra” moniker that is expected from this hi-po model. Out back, we also see the quad tip exhaust that have been seen in early prototypes.

The sporty, multi-spoke wheels on this test car are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Inside the wheel we see large, cross-drilled rotors and enormous brake calipers.

The next SVT Mustang is expected to be due in mid-2015.

Food for thought — Given this car’s extensive aero package, and its brake and tire package, could we be looking at a race-spec version of the new SVT Mustang?
