GT350 Kooks Full Exhaust System Adds 24 HP, 20 LB-FT

One week ago we told you about M6G member Joe Charles (ITLRUN) and his 2016 Shelby GT350 which is being used as a test bed for the development of a new full exhaust system by Kooks Headers and Exhaust.

Now that the system is nearing completion of testing for production, we have dyno results showing the amount of power the full Kooks exhaust system can pull out of the GT350.

The full exhaust system includes 3″ X-Pipe, 1 3/4” to 1 7/8” stepped headers, a pair of 3” Connection Pipes with Green Cats, Kooks axle back system and Kooks mufflers.

As a reminder, Joe’s bone stock GT350 baseline dynoed at 466.72 horsepower and 390.19 lb-ft torque. With the full Kooks exhaust system installed, the vehicle pulled 491.02 horsepower and 410.01 lb-ft of torque, or an increase of 24.3 horsepower and 19.82 lb-ft over the stock GT350.  This was done using 93 octane pump gas and no other modifications to the vehicle.

With these already impressive results and the factory tune still untouched, Joe looks to tease more power out of his 2016 GT350 with a custom tune before testing it all on the track in the wannaGOFAST Florida 1/2-mile Runway Shootout in Ocala, Florida, when his car returns home from Kooks facilities next week.
