I'm selling my subwoofer box with 10" Kicker Comp 10 sub and Alpine MRV-F300 amp already mounted. I will also include a cooling fan for the amp.

Hi - I thought the install was pretty straightforward and I'm no expert when it comes to car audio. The subwoofer box fits pretty snug by itself but I still used some velcro underneath to prevent it from moving. I kept the factory head unit, tapped into the speaker level outputs, then wired those to an LOC before connecting to the amp. That was powering the 10" sub and a set of component speakers up front. Since the amp was behind the back seat, I added that fan to keep it cool. The fan was powered by a relay that turned on by a 12v switched source.

thanks for the reply. just seeing if this will be as "plug and play" since i have a 21 GT base

No problem. Definitely not plug and play but fwiw, mine was a 15 GT/base and this system plus the Forscan audio mod made a substantial improvement.

For sure, I meant like that the install would be the same as it would be for my current car and radio, not so much as plug-and-play. That's my mistake.
