Wrong oil at service

Hi all

Quick question - had my MY 17 at a dealership a couple of weeks ago, only just got the invoice emailed to me as it was under the serviceplan and apparently they couldn't just give it to me - whatever.

Anyway, looking at the invoice, the oil used is listed as 5w 20, when the owners manual says it should be 5w 30.

Could this cause any issues, should I be bothered that they don't know what their own manuals say?

no its fine doesn't matter unless you're planning on tracking your car (actual ones with corners not drags) they'll just have put in the tub of whatever they had lying around from the focus rs and st (they use similar oil)

The Mustang can run on both 5w 20 and 5w 30. I put 5w 20 in my old one and it was fine.

I use Millers XF Longlife EB 5w-20 in mine

I think you will find that 5W20 is the correct oil for the coyote. Mine even has it printed on the filler cap.

Ford Europe signed a deal with Castrol for an oil in European Mustangs.

I'm not a big fan of Castrol Magnatec so I'm using genuine Ford Motorcraft 5W20 Syntetic Blend (exactly the same as in US version) and have got Amsoil 5W20 Signature Edition ready for a first "official" oil change after first year
