Ok, so I live in the harsh winter land know as New Jersey.

After bouncing back and forth about what winter wheels and tires I will be getting and changing them out every season got me thinking about taking another winter route.

I have decided to just get a 4x4 beater to get me through the snowy months. In this case I will not be driving my S550 but unfortunately I do not have a garage in which I can store it.

So, this brings me to keeping the car covered for the winter.

I have seen other threads on car covers, but I wanted to know if anyone has any practical northeast region experience with covering their baby for the winter months. What I am looking for are recommendations for GOOD winter car covers. I am not looking to skimp out here so even if it's high end, suggestions would be appreciated.

Hoping to get some suggestions on covers that are extremely outdoor winter durable that will not damage my paint. This is what is most important to me. I don't want to pull this thing off after we've had a couple of 2 ft snow falls to find scratches and swirls. I obviously won't be leaving piles of snow of the cover/car but just wanted to protect it from the winter elements without leaving paint issues when I pull it off.

I fully understand that garaging the car is the preferred method but there has got to be some cold weather folks in the same boat I am in.

Thanks for everyone's time!

lol ok will do, thanks man :)

Anyone else have some real world winter experience?

Been browsing the cover craft site and looking at the weathershield HP or HD options. Damn they're expensive but I did say in my own post that I would be looking at high end ones lol.

Looks like the HD version will run me around $500 but why sacrifice in protecting my baby!
