Hi guys.

Question. Did someone ask for a winter package for the Mustang in the dealership? Ford is offering free winter packages for mostly all other cars. My dealer will check the "pricing" on a set for me. I did checkout 1010 and tirerack but we here in Canada can forget them in my opinion. Including shipping their sets are more expensive than the Ford dealer. (Set is around $1,700 plus $550 shipping for the 18" set)

Locals do not have the wheels or TPMS for now. I read somewhere that Ford is asking up to $1,800 for a package. Maybe I can get a better price from my dealer....

Let me know the price your dealer gives you. I am assuming this includes Steel Wheels (18" ?), TPMS and Tires.

I hope that it is around $1,200 because I am buying the car. No idea what wheels they including in the package. I have to see and to talk to them. My car comes with summer only tires. I can't drive it from the dealer 50km home in 4-10" snow we are getting now the next couple of days every day! Snowstorm warning for Edmonton today. I am happy that I am still on WCB and do not have to leave the house in the moment!

People live in Toronto area will go to Tires23 in Mississauga or Simply Tire near York University for best prices.
Not sure about Alberta.

I am sure there's something. Find local Honda, VW, BMW forums and ask them..

I just ordered Blizzak LM-32s for the factory PP wheels (front 255/40-19, rear 275/40-19). My dealer (Whiteoak Ford in Mississauga) gives no free set (I asked), but they will install it for free (80$ value). The 4 tires cost 1800 CAD tax incl. Tirerack.com quote was 1,666USD (tax and shipping incl.) for the same.

My salesman refused to give any further discount or freebies. I got the Costco rebate and the 80$ winter tire installation, that's it... (they mentioned that they have free winter tires for Focus, etc... but not for Mustang)

Got an answer:
I looked into the tires for you and it would cost around $1600 plus taxes for the tires plus install and if you wanted rims as well add another $1000 .

So about $2750 total.
That means for me, that my dealer will not at anything to my car at all for me. That's when I had the talk about the 3x asking price of the all weather mats for $300 he asked me for.

Keep it!

Local tire shop came back and asking $700 for nice alloy wheels plus $800 for 235/50/18 installed. $1,500 is not bad for a set.

This set:
$_35.webp

or this ones:

Will see. I don't care really about the wheels in the winter. There are full of slutch anyway.

Does this price include TPMS? Sounds like a good deal, and the last set of wheels looks nice. Which shop?

I've ordered from tirerack for my last two cars, and ended up saving hundreds over buying locally (even after duty & fees). To be fair, they had a free shipping deal when I did place the orders.

The shipping is the part the makes every deal sour. To Edmonton it is between 480 and 550 CAD shipping. Winter tires 18" are $1,587 (USD) 1010.com is going for $1.980 (CAD) plus shipping $450.

That number includes duty & GST with the shipping (tire rack includes it in the final cost so you don't get a surprise when it comes time to accept delivery). That's to be expected bringing anything across the border. Don't forget you're getting charged in US $, and you'll have to convert it too. Oh, and Visa will charge you a conversion fee (which is hidden in the total which appears on your statement).

If it makes you feel any better, the exact same goods would cost $754.35 to get it to Quebec.

If I ship it to upstate NY, it is $137.68, but I'd have to pay GST at the border ($87). There might be duties to pay as well. Plus gas down and back.
