Always get glass coverage on your insurance!
Make 150.00 glass claim and that will show claim against your policy and will be on record for 3 years. A claim is a claim--doesn't matter how much.
My brother was turned down for new insurance (different company) because he had two claims in the last year. Two window chip repairs worth $140.00.

A claim is not a claim. Comprehensive and liability are two totally different things. Comprehensive claims also shouldn't affect your insurance, especially not over something so small. Not sure what companies were involved but I'd definitely take issue with it.

I haven't replaced a windshield in over 10 years of driving. A lot of minor rock chips can be taken care of with those $10 glass repair kits before they turn into a real crack.
