I don't agree 100% with the mph = X HP. It is a factor or rule of thumb but by no means exact.

The auto shifts lower then we want for optimal drag time and mph, 6800-7000 in first, 7000-7200 in each other gear. The 3rd to 4th gear drops to 5600rpm and lugs through the lights, roughly 6100-6300rpm. By increasing shift points and optimizing tire size you can significantly increase et and mph as each downshift will be 400+ higher rpm.

Also, we still use torque management during the shifts as this is a production cal, not one off race cals. The reason we do this, no matter what anyone says removing this will significantly lower transmission life, far greater than current setups. This does slightly drop et/mph but we feel strongly about transmission life.

Note that this is hot lapping, no ice in the intercooler system, no trunk ice reservoir, etc. ice can easily increase 50rwhp in a drag app.

Both the old and new calibrations are as smooth as butter, safe and I would like to keep it but also I'm targeting at least mid 10's on the 1/4 and 160+ half mile trap speeds

Bear with me, many questions

How much could be left on the table with torque management?

What should be the shift points on the revised calibration?

In the half mile I got (revised cal)
1-2 7200
2-3 7300
3-4 7700
Are those correct?

At 638 mustang dyno and 663 dynojet, on the 3.625, I trapped 123 on the 1/4 with the 1rst cal and in the half mile 152 on the 2nd cal

Are shift points affected by rev/mile parameter input or just speedo ?

Im going for 1 more pulley size down to 3.5

Would 10 gallons of 93 +
1 can of Octanium or Torco or 5 gallons of MS109 or 5 gallons GT260 plus be safe?
Some of those combos are cheaper than the others and some of the stoich on those are different to regular gas

Thanks!
