On some occasions the juice is definitely worth the squeeze.

Had the distinct pleasure to photograph Greg's 2020 CFTP GT500 on location in Honolulu. 20x11.5 Track Series SV501 finished in Gloss Black. The perfect street setup.
.
This CFTP is actually daily driven by Greg's wife. We built this setup to take away some of the danger assocaited with damaging a carbon wheel, and using a tire more friendly to the tropical Hawaiian climate.

Rain hit as soon as I climbed the hill to shoot pictures of the GT500. Then we found the nearby park we planned to shoot at was closed. Room was tight up on the mountain but we made it work and got a little soaked in the process.

You almost made a C8 look good! Those wheels make a HUGE difference. That's a good color for the platform, too, and the single most important detail is there - the wing on a C8 MUST be black, otherwise the whole thing looks like a Camaro that went to Pep Boys.

18 months into our GT500 wheel development program and we have learned so much.
.
Managing tire sidewall height, optimizing wheel fitments, precise brake caliper measurements, stud lengths, developing new concave profiles and on track testing/validation.
.
These cars have more fitment considerations than any other Ford we have ever built for. I would be weary if someone that didn’t know specific technical data about these cars. Buying a GT500 to do development with was probably the best move I could have made, and I’ve still had a few teaching moments. There are many things about this car you just can’t learn overnight.

Pretty cool to see some of our renderings come to life. Was fortunate to build a set of wheels for one of Ford's demo Mach-E's. This is our 21" Signature Wheel Precision Series SV703 finished in Galaxy Graphite. Will definitely get more photos soon.
