So I am thinking of upgrading the wheels and tyres, just wondered how wide can I go with the wheels and tyres? Also if I go for 20s would it make much difference to the ride of the car?

Any help is much appreciated :)

Can't say I've noticed an increase in road noise. That's more likely to be down to tyre choice.
Really I went with MPSS what do you have ?

Grip equals noise...
Not always, but it can be a good guide.

A great example is Toyo R888 and Michelin Cups, dry grip levels are more or less identical, like shit to a blanket in the dry. But on R888's you would think your gear box is about to explode, the whine they make is insane on some cars. :D

Whereas cups same grip but far quieter, but Michelin are a best compromise, incredible sticky and superb on track, but on flip side great road tyres, fantastic in wet and they last ages, whereas R888 are crap as a road tyre.

With the correct size rim and offsets, you could easily go to 305, 315 or even 325 without having to push it depending on the diameter, side wall and brand of tires.

If it's 20" without loosing much comfort you want, there still are some options to go wider without getting less side wall than stock. Should help :)
