I'm looking for an after market remote start for my manual trans V6. Interested by Viper's smart start but i haven't found much info on it.

Has anyone ever used it with a manual trans?

Is it reliable?

Electronic issues?

Any Reviews out there?

Thanx

I ran the 5901 on my xrunner which was a 6mt. Required me to do a clutch bypass for the remote start function to work. Also there was a special sequence I had to do before shutting the car off to be able to use the remote start feature.
What ever you do, make sure it is not in gear when using the remote start function. Overall I was very happy with the 5901. It has alot of cool things you can do with it, it had a 1 mile range, lots of lil modules you could purchase seperatly like shock sensor, tilt sensor, alarm voice, lighted badge, smart phone axcess etc etc.
Finding a place to install it was kinda a pain for me as no one was real familiar with the install.I found a few people that installed a few before but they didn't feel confident w/ installing one again. I ended up having it installed at a friends stereo shop and ot took about 6 hours.

The 5901 model seems reliable. I might go with a regular module vs the one controlled by iphone, it will be cheaper and certainly more reliable.
