15 miles into Mustang ownership I wanted to test the suspension behavior a little.
With more seat time and some basic mods, this thing should be a hoot!
Turn in response and front end bite is meh, but once the car is in a properly initiated drift it's absolutely beautiful to hold it there and control it. Have dabbled some more with it and I can damn near run the same diameter circle for as long as I want.
Also, for everyone that considers an S550 for drifting: Be warned, the ebrake is useless. So if you heavily rely on it in your driving style, get ready to go hydraulic.
Also, the neutral limit behavior of the car is under-steer. It takes quite a bit provoking to get it to step out. It's not an inherently tail happy car. But still, there's potential for sure!
