No concise way to say this in the subject line.

I uploaded a Lund tune today with my new SCT X4. I don't see an option anywhere in there to change my tire revolutions per minute to fix my speedo. I didn't check against GPS, but I'm pretty sure it's off..reading high compared to how fast I think I'm actually going.

I know for a fact that the Ford Procal tool that I used to load my Ford Perf PP2 will let me change tire revs per minute, but that was under the Procal tune, which I'm no longer running.

Can I use the Procal tool to change my tire size without breaking my Lund tune? Thanks.

*edit*
Turns out that somehow, even after flashing back to stock and the reflashing with the Lund tune that my tire revs per minute stayed set where it was. Not sure how that's possible, but it is the case. So my speedo is not off (GPS verified). Would still appreciate an answer to the question though as I or someone else may have a similar situation.

You will need to speak to Lund. Lack of information on the order generates a configuration based on factory on their part when building the base tune when things like Tire size mods are made. I run a Lund Tune and have run other tunes. With an SCT X4 it is at the tuner discretion as to what to provide access to. With VMP I had full access to all SCT capable adjustments because they trusted me to not screw things up...their own words not mine. With PBD I had no access and had to provide them the rotations per mile needed to calibrate the speedo. With Lund and using the Ngage, there is the access on the S550 to interface and correct gear ratio on the differential if you change gearing AND tire size if you change your wheels. However it would not be beyond the realm of reason for Lund to not grant access for these on a tune using the SCT X4. Sorry for your luck but include that in your tune revision request when you send in your initial datalogs as you begin your tuning process with them.........unless you had the local speed shop do that portion, then simply see if they will open access to Rots per Mile for you which will be a revised tune. Best of luck. I hate usign an X4 on S550 platform. The Ngage or HPtuner is the way t ogo on this ECU platform IMHO and personal experience with both.

I seriously doubt you can use an Ngage to change the tire size even though tire size calculations are held within a body module rather than the ECU. Pretty certain like the SCT X4 a marriage process must take place. I let my local speed shop tuner work with Lund to resolve all of that. I have loaded revisions but was not involved in the intial programming and saving of the factory tune to the memory card on the Ngage.

Thanks for the detailed reply, ugstang17. I can understand why they would lock out access to most critical parameters but tire size certainly isn't one of them. :) I'll hit them up when I send in my data logs.

SOP brother...Standard operating procedure more so than anything. When I spoke to Lund early lastabout retuning my then 14 after stalling it with a Circle D 2C converter, they refused to leave the parameters open. Alex was already working there at VMP who knew me and had worked with me to remote tune my 14 initially before the 2C upgrade. They still would not leave anything open and told me that because I ran a 28 at the track and a 27 on the street as others sometimes do they would make me a tune for the strip to load running the 28 and another to load for the street for the 27. It wasn't until recently that Lund opened up the ability on the Ngage to allow access to change gear ratio and revs per mile (tire diameter). PBD will not open them for most either. VMP was cautious about who they allowed that access to in my experience runnign tunes from all three.
