This thread is in case any of you are thinking of the following mods.
So, I am an older guy, 62. This is my first Automatic supercharged Mustang GT and my first S550. As some of you know, I had Livernois Motorsports install OPG/sprocket and the Magnuson blower. When I got the car back I replaced the stock anti-sway bars with the Ford Performance track bars from Levittown Ford. Additionally I put on Ford Performance Borla touring mufflers and 1" rear wheel spacers.
I've put several hundred miles on the car since with the weather improving. Here is a quick critique:
The blower makes more than enough power, but I have a bit of a stumble in the tune. It's inconsistent. It occurs even with both the advanctrac and the traction control off. I am waiting for LMS to get back with me. Taking a bit longer than I expected. The torque is incredible as you FI guys know. Most on this forum make more power than me, but I'm good with what I have.
The Michelins are the Pilot Sport a/s 3+ and stick twice as good at 75 degrees than they did at 40 degrees. Really changed the car. Highly recommended.
The Bars add a bit more NVH. Barely. But the body roll is greatly improved to the point that so far I'm happy.
Wheel spacers. Take 'em or leave 'em. Not sure.
The mufflers/axle backs are incredible. Didn't notice much difference at first, now my car sounds like a '60s big block muscle car. Truly a great mod.
