Torrie thanks for the tune a while back but I was wondering if you can send me a new file that will disable the check engine light for a aftermarket BOV because my intercooler pipes have popped off a few times even after tightening the clamps so I ordered the MAP intercooler pipes with a Turbosmart BOV and they are supposed to be here sometime next week. I appreciate all the help and the awesome customer service that you have shown. My mods are Unleashed 93 octane tune, JLT intake, Ultimae Racing intercooler and MAP intercooler pipes with Turbosmart VEE port BOV. Thanks .

Computer with XP won't recognize tuner

I'm trying to get a data log to send you. Downloaded LiveLink onto my laptop. However, the computer won't recognize the SCT tuner. I've tried the Device Manager "update driver" route w/o success. Any ideas?

Are you running windows 8/8.1?

I'm running XP Professional on an old laptop.

I would guess its some sort of driver problem. although they are automatically installed when you install live link or SCT Device updater.

Can you comm the device through the device updater on this machine ?

Actually, now I realize the computer IS recognizing the tuner (checked in device manager) drivers check out OK.. However, LiveLink and the SCT Tuner software aren't able to communicate with the tuner.. Weird.. I'll just have to try it on another laptop..

Could I simply datalog from my vehicle to the tuner and then bring the tuner into the house, plug it into my REAL computer (with LiveLink) download the datalog file and email that to you? Does a computer have to be hooked up to the tuner when you datalog?

Yes but you need to load the appropriate configuration file to the device so the correct pids are logged.
Or you can use a laptop using that same config file across the device for logging.
