Tuned ecoboost bogs down between shifts

My car did the same thing during rapid shifts. Bogged down for a bit before kicking back into power. My tuner found that the throttle plate was closing up to prevent boost spike. Overboost protection I assume.
It can be tuned out.
Hmmm so in the meantime it might be worth it to change up the canned tune to the lower tune setting so the throttle doesnt get cut?

at least until i can take it to a real tuner to work it out

It may still be cut. I noticed that as well. I had that issue with my previous pro-tune file. I told him about it, and he fixed it and the wastegate duty cycle.

Take it to a tuner when you get the chance.

Any idea if the bypass valve plate that vents to atmosphere would help prevent the throttle cut from over boost?
