Trying to install a mgw shifter .

I have a 2013 Boss 302. I can’t seem to get the transmission low enough to get the 10mm bolt out that holds the top shift linkage .
I have undone the lower trans mount and even tried to put a pry tool between body of car and trans mount .
I’m doing this on Jack stands so my leverage is minimal to pull on drive shaft . I have not cut the thin installation next to the bolt head . Is that the golden ticket ???

In my GT350 it was a pain but I did it while sitting in the car Make sure to use the correct Loctite I forgot and had to go back after I had it started Good luck the shifter is worth the hassle !!!
