I have typically been a meguiars faithful but just recently decided to be bold and try new sealants/waxes. After some research and combining to a 50% discount, i decided to try the backfire products.

I have traditionally topped the sealant with carnuba and that is what i am trying this weekend. Within the blackfire product line, this is referred to as "blackfire wet ice over fire".

This morning, I washed the gt and polished using meguiars 205 and a GG DA with a blue pad. The sealant has already been applied and will be bonding until tomorrow morning when i'll top with the carnuba midnight sun wax.

It looks promising so far... anyone else using blackfire?

I've been using their polymer spray after every wash, and have been impressed. I just picked up the wet diamond sealant kit this week, but I'm going to top that with pinnacle souveran paste.

I've got a couple days off next week, looking forward to it.

I bought their sealant and wax before I got the car and I like both. The wax goes on easy and doesn't stain the trim badly (just a tiny tiny bit if you leave it on there). It's wipe on wipe off doesnt need to haze and gives a good shine.

It was a bit expensive though- the sealant and wax were around $80 together. I've has the car over 6 months are barely made a dent in either, so it lasts a long time. I may try something a bit cheaper next time like CG Jetseal and Collonite 845 just for a change of pace and they'e a tad bit cheaper overall.

It turned out amazing. Considering that I got the sealant/wax kit for $45 new, I could not be any happier. As mentioned, it was very easy to work.

Took it for a spin to visit my GF... Very pleased with the results.
