So is Active Exhaust got around that. The car (PCM) actually got use to it not being there. Wrote it off, no more inactive EX complaining .

This stuff is not as bullet proof as some would like to think.

Are you saying that the AE can be unplugged without throwing a code ? That's not what I've been told

It did for a while, and stopped. Installed cat backs first few times yes setting track, have no reason to lie.

My knowledge comes from things I do or have done.

I asked because several Ford tuners have stated that w/o sims, unplugging the A E will throw a code.

As said it did complain, and now being ignored....... by the car.

Thing about code writers, they always know. In my industry as the battle goes Ford/Chevy, so goes Software/Hardware.
