I've never been out in a track before and I'm wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to get some instruction here in so cal. I've looked everywhere but haven't really found much information on the topic.

I highly recommend starting off with autocross. There is one happening at El Toro/Irvine on July 11 (practice) & 12 (competition day, but also has novice instructors). You can get more info by going to http://forums.solo2.com/. There's at least a couple active '15 Mustang drivers competing in stock class currently in the region.

Even if you decide not to sign up & drive, you can still come out on Saturday get free ride-alongs. I'll be there.
